About Anna Laura
A femme fatale, a comedienne, and a young leading lady, Anna Laura Strider is an Atlanta based actor who has had the pleasure performing on professional stages across the country. She recently made the move from New York City, where she appeared in works by playwrights such as Lynn Nottage and composers such as Stephen Scwhartz, as well as sparking her television career with two roles on the Investigative Discovery Channel.
Some of her favorite theater credits include: RUN FOR YOUR WIFE (Mary Smith) at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse; ROCK 'N' ROLL REDEMPTION: THE STORY OF DION DIMUCCI (Susan Butterfield) at Seven Angels Theatre; INTIMATE APPAREL (Mrs. Van Buren) at Playhouse on Park; STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Shelby) Stomping Ground Theatre; THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (Ensemble) at White Plains Performing Arts Center. Her TV credits include: DIABOLICAL (Loretta) and THE PERFECT MURDER (Ashley), on the ID Channel.
Before moving to New York in 2015, Anna Laura lived in Birmingham, AL where she trained with Emmy Award Winner Natalia Livingston and performed in Actor Boutique’s Industry Showcase in Atlanta, GA. In 2012, she won the title of Miss Alabama, where she placed in the Top 12 and won the Quality of Life Award for her social impact initiative, P.A.W.S. For Autism at the Miss America Pageant. She also received the 2013 Humanitarian Award for her legislation work protecting the rights of children with autism service dogs.
Anna Laura was born and raised in Decatur, AL and grew up performing in community theater, competing in talent competitions, and training in vocal performance. She graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design with a minor in art. In her spare time, Anna Laura enjoys painting and dumpster diving for furniture and refurbishing her finds on a micro budget.
